Just thought I would share a photo of my new Ducati espresso machine:

Image

OK, it isn't made by Ducati, but it may as well be. I got it from Illy - its called the Francis Francis X7. I swear the owner's manual looks JUST like my Ducati Monster owner's manual. There must be a monopoly on manual production in Italy.

Anybody want a shot? :-Rock

I hate you.

I've been trying to resist the temptation, but if I find a hand press machine like the one that used to be at Bersodi's in New Orleans with the big golden eagle on top, I won't be able to resist.

Are you happy with it? Does it work pretty consistently?

So, when can we order the custom TUC cardigans?

The La Pavoni is great, and we've never had a problem with it. My wife scored it at a thrift store for $2 a year or so ago.
Pretty sure it was unused too. Congrats on that Illy, that's a nice machine!

Also, if you guys get those TUC cardigans goin', they will certainly ensure your club's G.E.F.T. status.

Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Dammit! Now I really hate you, you GEFT! That's a $700 espresso machine. I have been trying to get a used on on eBay for a while, but they never go for less that $700. Thats one reason I bought the new Illy machine. Wow. I need to go thrift store shopping more often.

Sure, but it's not at your house or office. Actually, that is fine looking machine as well. Nothing that pretty around here at the commercial cafes (all boring industrial workhorses).

At today's exchange rate, this will cost you roughly $450...
